  1. The sun shining through the blinds was an excellent use of a filter. Without it I think the picture would have been washed out. This way I was able to see what was on the other side of the blinds without the sun washing it out.

    1. Great point Brian! The blinds do act as a filter or a diffuser, and you are totally right that without them the image would be washed out. The first-person perspective of this image also feels very familiar and nostalgic to me.

  2. I really enjoy the subtle way in which you captured the reflection of light on the icy sidewalk in the first image, as well as the strong reflection in the window in the third image. I could see the idea behind the fourth image - the backlit church - but I think that the composition could be more dynamic and that sun behind the church could be emphasized more dramatically from a different viewpoint or angle.

  3. I like how you used a consistent form of light throughout all of these photos. The tone of the sunset brings out a calming and eery feeling to photos 2 and 3. I really like how the window captures the reflection of the sunset through the tree branches, good job!
